Sony is back with a device that fits perfectly into the wearable category.
Indeed, the veil has recently been lifted from Smartband 2, a new wristband that allows monitoring of a series of personal parameters.
This is not a smartwatch but a wristband that enables certain measurements of habits, vital activity measurements, and biometric data of the wearer.
Smartband 2 can record heart rate in conjunction with the accelerometer: in this way, thanks to this coordinated work, you can track your overall fitness level, excitement, and stress, as explained in an official statement released by Sony.
The Smartband 2 can also monitor sleep and wakefulness, as well as allow setting a very gentle alarm: it can be used to start vibrating at the best moment of the sleep-wake cycle, thus allowing a less “traumatic” and more natural awakening.
The Sony LifeLog app, finally, can process all the data, providing it systematically and orderly, so you can always keep track of it.
SmartBand 2 can be worn every day, 24 hours a day, also thanks to its declared two-day battery life.

Compatibility with Android and iOS also allows access to your smartphone’s playlists.
From a design perspective, it is quite slim, with an interchangeable plastic strap, initially supplied in white and black.
Subsequently, indigo and pink versions will also arrive on the global market.
As for the price of Smartband 2, Sony recommends selling it for 119 euros.
Distribution will take place during the month of September.
