Here are the new features and the price of the Motorola Moto E, the renewed smartphone.
Motorola has decided to reinvest in the entry-level segment, offering a new version of the Moto E.
The first noteworthy feature is undoubtedly the support for fast LTE network navigation: a significant difference compared to many terminals positioned in the same market segment.
Compared to its predecessor, it’s also worth noting that the display has been improved: the new Moto E has a larger LCD screen, measuring 4.5 inches with a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels.
The technological core consists of a 1.2 GHz Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor (64-bit) and 1 GB of RAM, supported by an Adreno 306 GPU and featuring 8 GB of native internal memory, expandable via microSD card. The chosen operating system is the very latest: Android, available in its 5.0 “Lollipop” version.
The camera setup includes two cameras: the main one is located on the back of the device and boasts 5 Megapixels with integrated Autofocus. The secondary camera, situated on the front casing, is a simple VGA type camera.
Finally, battery life should be quite satisfactory, as the device is equipped with a 2390 mAh battery.
The price of the second-generation Motorola Moto E is approximately 149 euros, with availability starting in the coming days in all stores: the launch is expected in March 2015.
