Punctually, here comes the latest news to be presented at CES 2015.
Sony continues to focus on the wearable sector, launching its new smartwatch.
Its name – without too many variations on the theme – will be Sony SmartWatch 3 and will arrive on all target markets during February, thus in a handful of weeks.
Some features are decidedly more interesting than others, worth noting.
From a purely aesthetic point of view, this smartwatch is made entirely of stainless steel with a polished finish, making it stand out.
Apparently, a version with a new dial will also be available, which will allow the use of different straps, as long as they are standard 24mm size.
The operating system is Android Wear and the display is a 1.6-inch transflective touch type; the resolution is 320 x 320 pixels.
The chosen processor is a 1.2 GHz ARM with 512 MB of RAM and the possibility of using 4 GB of internal memory available natively.

Connectivity is assured thanks to NFG, Bluetooth modules, and a micro USB slot, while Sony declares an autonomy of 2 days of use, considering the presence of a 420 mAh battery.
Sony Smartwatch is clearly water-resistant and, having been designed primarily for athletes and outdoor enthusiasts, it is equipped with a compass, accelerometer, GPS, gyroscope, and a series of functions to track routes and sports performance.
It should be noted that, to function, this smartwatch does not necessarily need to be connected to a smartphone.
As for the price of the Sony SmartWatch 3, it is already available for pre-order on the Sony website for 229.99 euros.
