Nexus 6 “Shamu” to be produced by Motorola?

Google has reportedly entrusted Motorola with the production of the Nexus 6, codenamed “Shamu”.

There’s an atmosphere of anticipation surrounding Google’s next smartphone releases. So much so that some interesting rumors about the Nexus 6 continue to circulate the web with some insistence.
The device – whose codename is reportedly “Shamu” – apparently, and according to the always well-informed blog 9to5Google, should be born from the collaboration between Google and Motorola.
This hypothesis sounds quite credible, given that the destinies of the two companies were united until not long ago: Motorola, now in Lenovo’s hands, had previously been largely acquired by Google.
It would also seem that the Nexus 6 project shouldn’t be too different from the Moto X.
Certainly, there will be distinct Google-branded customizations, capable of attracting the attention of industry observers and potential buyers.
In fact, the Nexus 6 is expected to be the first phablet to feature the new Android L operating system, which is set to be released soon.
It is therefore thought that the Nexus 6 phablet and the Nexus 9 tablet will debut the new version of the OS, along with the interface called “Material Design”.
There is still much mystery surrounding this brand-new line of terminals, and official news is expected during the Google-Android event scheduled for October 16th.

If the meeting with the press and bloggers does indeed concern the launch of the new devices, it’s likely that sales of the new models could begin within the following two weeks.
