HTC Desire 816 was presented these days during MWC 2014: here is its price, features, and release period in Italy.
The new HTC Desire 816 smartphone, a device soon to arrive in Italy, presented these days during MWC 2014 in Barcelona, makes a good impression.
It is a device that easily fits into the mid-to-high range, both in terms of its technical characteristics and its price.
HTC Desire 816 is equipped with a 1.6 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor, supported by 1.5 GB of RAM. Perhaps, from this point of view, something better could have been done. The operating system is Android with the HTC Sense 5.5 UI interface.
The available internal memory is 8 GB, expandable with a microSD card up to a maximum of 128 GB, which must be purchased separately, and therefore not included in the sales package.
Regarding the screen, we are in the hybrid territory between a full-fledged smartphone and a “quasi-phablet”: it is a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels and 267 ppi.
The camera setup is decidedly satisfactory, especially concerning the front-facing secondary camera: this is indeed 5 megapixels, truly nothing to scoff at.
The main camera is instead 13 megapixels f/2.2, with LED flash and the ability to record Full HD video.
The battery is 2,600 mAh and, as for interesting facts to highlight, this model is the first from HTC to introduce the nano SIM.
The device will make its debut primarily in Asian markets, starting from these weeks. During the month of May, distribution will begin in the rest of the world, including Italy.
The price of the HTC Desire 816 will be 399 euros.
