Windows 8.1 Free from April with Bing Services

A special version of Windows 8.1 with Bing could be released for free by Microsoft this spring.

Some time ago here on FullPress.info, we reported that Microsoft would be retiring the Windows XP operating system.
Effective April 8, 2014, in fact, no more updates would be released, as the company considers it an excessively dated system, although it must be admitted that it is still widely used worldwide.
Today’s news anticipates that Microsoft is set to launch the Windows 8.1 free update in the coming weeks, specifically to encourage migration to the new operating system, not only from XP users but also from Windows 7 users.
This would be a special version called “Windows 8.1 with Bing” which would precisely combine the operating system, the universe of applications, and a series of other services (including, of course, cloud services) branded by Microsoft.

This approach would likely open up a completely different strategy compared to today concerning license sales, which could be superseded in favor of a new model for selling services, whether they are individual and, so to speak, “on demand” or subscription-based.
The rumor began to circulate when images of screenshots of the possible new interface for this particular Windows 8.1 appeared online.
If the anticipation is confirmed, the download of the final version update will be launched in the first days of April.
