Surface RT Discounted in Italy: Current Average Price

The Surface RT tablet, a device developed by Microsoft, is currently experiencing a significant price reduction. First in the United States and now also in Italy, the tablet running the Windows 8 RT operating system is now offered at a discounted price.
Initially, Microsoft adjusted prices only in the United States. On the Microsoft Store, in fact, Surface RT was reduced to $349 for the 32 GB model. Until recently, $499 would have been required to purchase the tablet.
Therefore, the discount applied is substantial and evident, also for the 64 GB version, which is now priced at $499 instead of $599.
This has led to speculation that the move aims to boost sales, but perhaps also out of necessity in anticipation of potential new tablet releases.
Until a few hours ago, it seemed Europe might just observe these price drops, but it is now reported that something similar is happening in Italy as well.

First and foremost, on the Microsoft website, you can now purchase a 32 GB Surface RT for 337 euros, while the 64 GB version will cost 439 euros. There is also the option to purchase it bundled with a black Touch Cover, with the combo priced at 437 euros and 539 euros respectively.
These same price reductions have recently appeared in chains such as UniEuro and Mediaworld, while Saturn – in addition to offering the same strong discount of 150 euros compared to the previous price – also adds a free 5-month subscription to the mobile version of Repubblica as an extra.
