Faulty iPhones 5, Apple Returns Them to Foxconn: Rumors

It is reported that there are a large number of defective iPhone 5 units, returned by Apple to the company Foxconn.

Disputes are brewing between Apple and Foxconn, the Chinese company responsible for assembling and therefore materially building iPhone 5.
In fact, the latest smartphone from Apple has turned out to be imperfect, with manufacturing defects that have not gone unnoticed.
An anonymous source reported to China Business that Foxconn is handling a hot potato: Apple has reportedly acknowledged these technical and functional problems, sending back a large number of defective iPhone 5 units.
It is even reported that as many as 8 million units have been returned to Foxconn.
As with all rumors of this nature, originating in China but in this specific case picked up particularly by the site “The Register“, the use of the conditional is absolutely mandatory, lacking direct statements or verifiable evidence.
However, there is a precedent that could explain the fact that some problems in this regard had already manifested months ago.
It is indeed known that some Foxconn representatives, in the wake of the iPhone 5‘s market launch, pointed out that assembling the device was more difficult than expected, due to its new aesthetic design and certain ‘snap fits’ required for the various components.

In recent hours, some overseas magazines have hypothesized, however, that Apple’s quality control has actually rejected the new iPhone 5S models to be released in the coming months; however, the figure of 8 million returned units appears too substantial to be solely first-generation future smartphones, i.e., those not yet on the market.
Neither company has provided confirmation or outright denials, and there is already talk of Apple searching for new suppliers for future production, in order to supplement Foxconn with other companies that would be involved in assembly.
