**Sony Xperia Tablet Z** is the upcoming tablet from **Sony**: here are its features and its retail **price**.
In Barcelona, the events included in the World Mobile Congress 2013 program continue, andSonyhas taken the opportunity to present its newtablet, called “Sony Xperia Tablet Z“.
The screen is 10.1 inches and is a LED-backlit LCD with a resolution of 1200×1920 pixels.
Certainly, when it comes to tablets, this is the first element that stands out, as usability is directly related to the surface the user will interact with.
Regarding the hardware for the performance of the new Sony tablet, it features a 1.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon APQ8064 processor with 2 GB of RAM. Internal memory is offered in 16 GB and 32 GB versions, but more storage can be made available via microSD cards.
The native operating system for theSony Xperia Tablet Zis Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, and in terms of connectivity, there is a choice between models supporting LTE networks or those supporting 3G and Wi-Fi networks.
Also noteworthy are the two cameras: the main one, housed on the back of the tablet’s body, is 8 megapixels and features autofocus and digital zoom. It is also capable of shooting Full HD 1080p videos.
The front camera, useful for video calls but not only, is 2.2 megapixels and is also capable of recording Full HD video.
Rounding out this tablet’s specifications is the 6000 mAh battery, which, according to Sony, can keep the tablet active for 10 hours of full use or 1270 hours in standby.
Theprice of the Sony Xperia Tablet Z will be 499 euros for the 16 GB version and 599 euros for the 32 GB version.
The release of this new Sony-branded tablet is expected in the second quarter of 2013.
