The new Nintendo Wii U is ready for release worldwide, starting with Europe and then it will be sold in Japan. Here is the price in Italy and the store release date.

Nintendo is on the verge of launching the new Nintendo Wii U, a console highly anticipated by gaming enthusiasts.
Its debut will not take place in Japan, as was initially thought: there, the release is expected on December 8th.
Surprisingly, the console will therefore reach European markets first and will also arrive in Italy starting from November 30, 2012.
There are two models planned: the Basic and the Premium.
The Premium model – in black – will be more expensive and will have 32 GB of hard drive space available.
Furthermore, it will be equipped with a stylus, a Wii U GamePad, a stand to hold the GamePad, a charging dock for the GamePad, a stand for the Nintendo Wii U itself, an HDMI cable, and power cables.
The Basic version – in white – will not differ substantially from the Premium except that it will have 8 GB of internal memory and will not include the stands for the GamePad, the charging dock for the GamePad, or for the console.
A very basic accessory package that will therefore cost less.
In both cases, however, there will be the opportunity to experience the new HD graphical concept, the camera, and above all, users will be able to rely on compatibility with previous Wii peripherals.
So, green light to using the Balance Board, Wii Mote, and steering wheels, for example.
Software compatibility will also be complete, allowing users to use games purchased in the past.
Regarding the price of Nintendo Wii U, the company has decided to give freedom to European retailers, not setting fixed prices but recommending prices around the suggested ones: 249 euros for the Basic version and 349 euros for the Premium version.
