Nintendo Wii U GamePad: presentation video

The first details about the Nintendo Wii U GamePad console have been revealed: it is a video previewing the official presentation. Here is the footage, released online by Nintendo itself.

Nintendo plays ahead and, just hours before the official presentation of the new Nintendo Wii U, puts an explanatory video online.
The unveiling event revealing all the features of Nintendo Wii U will take place at 6:00 PM – Italian time – during E3 2012 in Los Angeles. However, the company has announced that the main focus will be on game presentations, so this video takes advantage of the opportunity to present the device in detail.
There is much anticipation surrounding this game console which, in its shape and features, represents a hybrid between the old Wii and a kind of tablet.
While the casing indeed has sticks and controls, it is also true that with the aid of the stylus you can directly interact with the touchscreen, exactly as you would on a tablet.
Thus, there is a strong inclination toward the social sector, as well as gamers, for which the nature of the device itself is native, almost taken for granted.
The name of the controller itself, precisely because of all these new features, has been changed to Nintendo Wii U GamePad.

Interesting, although still little used in our country, is the presence of support for NFC technology: a useful Near Field Communication reader for quick payments makes one think of this device as something to always carry with you, similar to smartphones and tablets.
However, the new Nintendo Wii U GamePad proves to be a great ally at home, since it is fully compatible with other accessories already on the market, such as the Balance Board, the Nunchuck, or the Wiimote.
Here is the Nintendo Wii U video and the Nintendo Wii U GamePad, with Italian subtitles.
