News from Sony: in view of summer, the compact Sony Cyber-shot RX100 is about to be launched, with a couple of standout features to keep in mind.

It’s the time for summer, for trips, for vacations, and therefore for moments to capture: it is therefore time to choose a compact camera suitable for the purpose. Among the upcoming releases, here comes the new Sony Cyber-shot RX100 in July, a camera that immediately stands out with its very large sensor and particularly bright lens.
Sony indeed announces that this is the first camera of its kind to feature a 1.0-inch type sensor with 20.2 effective megapixels, paired with an F1.8 lens.
In more detail, it is a 1.0-inch type 20.2 effective megapixel Exmor CMOS sensor (13.2 x 8.8 mm) and a Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T F1.8 lens with 3.6x optical zoom.
The combination proves advantageous and high-performing even in low light conditions, when you can also rely on high sensitivity (up to ISO 25600) for steady and sharp shots, thanks to the Multi Frame Noise Reduction system.
This camera also proves to be particularly fast, especially when the high-speed continuous shooting function is activated: up to 10 frames per second can be achieved even at maximum resolution.
Autofocus also boasts remarkable speed, as it only takes 0.13 seconds to focus on the object – or subject – of the photo.
Naturally, with the Sony Cyber-shot RX100, you can also shoot Full HD videos.
Everything can be adjusted via the manually activated “Control Ring”, to personalize your work to the fullest.
Everything will always be processed by the optimized BIONZ image processor and presented for immediate viewing on the 7.5 cm (3-inch) high-contrast Xtra Fine LCD screen, equipped with WhiteMagic technology to increase brightness.
Everything is supported by the rechargeable NP-BX1 X-type battery.
The arrival of the Sony Cyber-shot RX100 in stores is expected from early July at a price that has not yet been announced by Sony.
