Olympus SP-620UZ has been on the market for some time in the sector of cameras defined as “bridge”. Let’s discover its price and features.
Some time ago, we already discussed a new bridge camera presented by Olympus – the Olympus SP-720UZ – but today it’s time to introduce its younger sibling, the Olympus SP-620UZ.
The type is still the one defined as “bridge“: you get a fairly light and thin camera in your hands, “dominated” by the optical zoom, a 21x (25-525mm, equivalent to a 35mm camera).
The sensor is a 16-megapixel CCD, with Dual Image Stabilization technology.
With this camera too, it will be possible to shoot 720p HD videos with the help of HDMI control.
Everything will be monitored in real-time thanks to the bright and large screen on the back of the bridge camera: it is a 3-inch (7.6 cm diagonal) color LCD display with 230,000 dots.
The possibility to shoot photos with 3D shooting modes is interesting.
Everything is processed by the TruePic III+ image processor, which ensures sharpness, brightness, and above all, a significant reduction in noise, especially thanks to the preset functions Intelligent Auto Mode (i-Auto), AF Tracking, and Multi-Motion Movie I.
The package includes a lens cap, wrist strap, CB-USB6 USB cable, CB-AVC3 audio/video cable, and 4 AA batteries.
This is probably the only drawback of this camera: the fact that it is powered by batteries, without the possibility of recharging via USB cable.
The available colors are silver and black, and regarding the price of Olympus SP-620UZ, the cost to purchase this camera is around 170 euros.
