Scheduled for release worldwide, the Huawei Mediapad 10 is the tablet recently unveiled in Barcelona. Here are some previews regarding its price, features, and arrival in stores.
The Mobile World Congress in Barcelona has brought to light Huawei’s latest innovations, among which the new Huawei Mediapad 10 tablet certainly stands out.
We have already covered the presentation of the smartphone Huawei Ascend D quad, pointing out that it is a high-end device; the same can undoubtedly be said for the Huawei Mediapad 10 tablet.
Let’s start by considering that it is a quad-core device with a 1.5 GHz processor, small in size but very powerful.
This is demonstrated by the performance recorded in gaming and HD video playback.
The operating system is Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, while the screen is a 10-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200, quite remarkable and high-definition.
It features two cameras: the rear one is 8 megapixels, and the front one is 1.3 megapixels. Regarding the multimedia capabilities, the high audio quality promised by Dolby Surround technology is noteworthy.
“Speed” is the watchword for its navigation capabilities: high-speed wireless access up to 84 Mbps (HSPA + 21/42/84Mbps) and LTE network support. While LTE is not yet operational in Italy, it’s worth noting that this standard exists on this very advanced tablet.
All of this is housed in reduced dimensions that make it extremely versatile and easy to carry: it weighs only 598 grams and its thickness is minimal, 8.8 millimeters.
The price of the Huawei Mediapad 10 has not yet been officially announced, but it will certainly be similar to that of high-end tablets, although we hope for competitive pricing based on the features offered to the public. To purchase this tablet, you will need to wait a few more weeks, as the release is scheduled for the second quarter of the year.
UPDATE: The price of the Huawei MediaPad 10 in Italy is 499 euros, as recommended by the manufacturer.
