Today’s Google Doodle celebrates Freddie Mercury on his birthday. A special, musical animation to commemorate an important day, immortalized in the video we are sharing.
By now, Google Doodles are increasingly spectacular: today’s doodle, dedicated to Freddie Mercury, is no exception.
As far as we can recall, this is the most dynamic and longest, most complex doodle ever developed.
On Freddie Mercury’s birthday, Google decided to retrace the most important stages of the former Queen frontman’s career, creating a sort of animated music video to the tune of the famous song “Don’t Stop Me Now“.
Today, Mercury, had he not died on November 24, 1991, from complications of pneumonia triggered by AIDS, would have turned 65. An occasion worthy of celebration, using HTML5 animations viewable by clicking the logo on the Google homepage, specifically in the center, where a large play button is positioned in golden hues.
The doodle dedicated to Freddie Mercury is much more elaborate than the one created for, for example, Les Paul, through which one could strum the strings of a virtual guitar.
This time, what needs to be highlighted is primarily the concept of a sort of music video created for the occasion, furthermore, there is the soundtrack itself – an event never encountered in the past – and even the idea of including subtitles in all of this. A very evident leap in quality that groups together in a single doodle all the new features in Google, in terms of new technologies and technological innovations adapted to the search engine.
Here is the Google Doodle video for Freddie Mercury, already posted on YouTube: we are highlighting it so that a record remains for those who are unable to admire it today.
