The Xiaomi RedMi 3 has been presented, outshining the competition with a particularly low price.
Xiaomi has begun unveiling its new offerings, focusing heavily on the new RedMi 3 smartphone.
The general response from enthusiasts and the media has been one of particular emphasis on a detail that cannot be overlooked: the price of the Xiaomi RedMi 3.
The company has indeed officially announced that the device will cost 699 YUAN, which – considering the current exchange rate – would mean approximately 100 euros in the European market.
This is indeed a low figure for a smartphone that, at first glance, does not appear to be low-end.
The design, in fact, appears refined, with a metal unibody that is also adorned with geometric patterns.
Regarding its technological core, this smartphone features an Octa Core processor, more specifically composed of 4 Cores at 1.5 GHz and another 4 Cores at 1.2 GHz.
The RAM is 2 GB, with 16 GB of native internal storage, expandable via microSD up to a maximum of 128 GB.
The chosen operating system is Android Lollipop, version 5.1.1, while the interface is customized with MIUI 7.
As for the screen dimensions, it is a 5-inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.
There are two cameras available: the main one is 13 Megapixel, with autofocus and LED flash. The secondary camera, however, is 5 megapixels.
The connectivity suite is complete, including a module for LTE 4G networks.
A summary of its features can be concluded with the indication of the battery: it has a capacity of 4100 mAh, a decidedly large amount, favoring a rather ample and long-lasting autonomy.
Therefore, the Xiaomi RedMi 3 appears to be at least a mid-range device, despite its particularly low price.
News regarding its European release is awaited, pending reviews arriving from Asia.
