Writing Press Releases: The Official Website Page

Before writing the press release, it is necessary to ensure that the website has a page containing the company’s official communication. If it is missing, it needs to be created.

The press release, in fact, is not intended to exhaust the news but to attract the editor to consult a page containing the necessary elements.

Writing a release that includes all elements is risky because, in case of organizational changes, the non-modifiable releases (most of them) will remain with old data.

When having the official page created on the website, consider that it will serve those arriving from the site’s homepage, from search engines, and from external communications (article marketing, advertising, press releases, offline channels). In some cases, it might be useful to have different versions of the page with the official communication.

Have the website administrators create a short alias for the page (Removed Permanent). This allows calling a complex URL such as http://www.yoyoformazione.it/2007/03/corso-avviamento-promozione-blog-3-4-aprile-2007-verona.php with a simpler one http://www.yoyoformazione.it/corso-verona.

This is important for systems that do not accept links and for offline communication.
