Windows Phone 7 Mango is available for download, with a special version exclusively for developers. Everyone else will have to wait a bit longer, at least until September.
Windows Phone 7 Mango is ready for download, although only for developers: this was announced by Brandon Watson, who via his personal Twitter account invited industry insiders to download this first version.
An important step that confirms the subsequent release of Windows Phone 7 Mango for all users at the end of the summer, probably by September.
To access this special version of Windows Phone 7 Mango, you will need to be a registered developer, therefore already “accredited” by Microsoft. Once this is done, you will automatically be contacted via a specific notification inviting you to use the new product, available via Microsoft Connect.
An important novelty is that, unlike in the past, to test Windows Phone 7 Mango there will be no need for special devices: you will be able to download the operating system on any Windows Phone, with a limit of one download per developer.
Italy is also involved in this testing phase of Windows Phone 7 Mango; however, for all developers, the clause of absolute confidentiality regarding trials and tests applies: it will not be possible to talk about Windows Phone 7 Mango, nor publish anything about it, at least until the official launch date of the operating system, therefore for several more weeks.
While waiting to be able to use the first official release of Windows Phone 7 Mango, rumors have it that Microsoft technicians are already working on the next version which, apparently, will be named “Tango”.
