Progress is being made rapidly towards the release of Windows 8: here is the Release Preview, now available for download.
Microsoft has made the Windows 8 Release Preview available, bringing users closer to the features of the final version.
One of the first features that immediately stands out is undoubtedly the result of the agreement made with Adobe: Windows 8 Release Preview allows you to view certain sites in Flash on Internet Explorer 10.
The function has therefore been added natively and applies only to those sites that are part of a specific list on which compatibility is indicated.
This is a unique exception, regarding the interaction between the new system and third parties: this stems from the partnership with Adobe.
For all others, it will be necessary to decide each time whether to accept third-party applications and actively launch them, if of interest.
This makes Windows 8 increasingly performant with regard to the use of the operating system on tablets and mobile devices.
The interface is also now firmly oriented towards touch systems.
Another aspect to highlight is privacy management: with the “Do Not Track” function set by default, you can browse protected and decide which sites not to send information to via cookies.
In case of violations, Windows 8 Release Preview automatically blocks cookies and flags the site in its Tracking Protection List.
Therefore, based on this release – earlier than expected – it is possible that the final version of Windows 8 may arrive at the beginning of October.
Microsoft has already announced that, in case of device purchases between June 2nd and December 31st, the company will be able to provide those who wish it with the new Microsoft 8 operating system via update, for a symbolic fee of 15 dollars.
