To share some news with those who are not subscribed to Twitter, a new feature arrives that allows you to send tweets via email.
Starting this morning, the Twitter staff has decided to introduce a new feature among the services offered by the microblogging-based social network.
Some users have in fact noticed that at the end of each tweet, at the bottom, under “More“, the option “Send tweet via email” has appeared.
The novelty will be gradually extended to everyone and will allow users to export a tweet using the traditional email service.
What is the purpose of this option?
Simply put: by sending a tweet via email, you can share some updates from the social network with friends and people who are not yet registered on Twitter.
This move, in addition to being convenient for those who want to share their status updates outside of the chirping social network, also appears to be useful for the company itself.
In fact, it is conceivable that knowing about something of interest being discussed – shared by a friend – might encourage people to sign up for Twitter.
This new functionality will put an end to the practice of sending screenshots, for example; thus, allowing even those who are not yet part of the Twitter universe to directly access the source of the tweet of interest.
In addition to the tweet itself, you can also choose to send a text message to the friend’s email, to comment or to better introduce what you are sending.
The tweet sent via email will arrive in the recipient’s inbox with the sender’s details – indicated by the Twitter nickname and without other personal data such as email address – of the tweet itself and an optional comment.
All this with great simplicity and speed.
