Web Marketing Festival goes live online

With more than 200 speakers and guests, the WMF (Web Marketing Festival) returns with a unique and innovative format and a rich training program in its new guise as a multi-room online event: 30 rooms on topics related to Web Marketing and Innovation, and a Mainstage in a television show format that will host inspirational talks and testimonies on the challenges of the present and future in light of the new health emergency and beyond.

The first Festival on Innovation in the Time of Covid-19 is Italian: at the WMF Online – Scattered Edition from June 4th to 6th, a journey into the future through technological, digital, and social evolutions to improve the planet. Among the guests, our director Anna Bruno with her latest book “Digital Travel.

The first Festival dedicated to Innovation in the time of Covid-19 is Italian: the WMF – the largest Festival on Digital and Social Innovation – on June 4th, 5th, and 6th presents the WMF Online – Scattered Edition, revealing a hybrid format that will combine the traditional setting of the Rimini Palacongressi and IEG, reopened for the first time after the health emergency, with a long series of live streaming connections and the broadcast of thematic rooms from cultural and sports venues across the peninsula, for an unprecedented development of interventions and contributions, involving locations from around the world and Italian excellence. Spreading innovation through digital and offline means, all while ranging across training, current events, future, technology and reflections on how innovation, the true common thread of the Festival, can act on today’s and tomorrow’s society.

At the center, therefore, will be moments of debate, shows, entertainment, and a format with television timing and rhythms on the central stage, the WMF Mainstage. Here – starting with the surprise opening show scheduled for 9:30 AM on June 4th – guests, personalities, and artists will alternate, both in person in the studio and remotely, throughout the entire three days: from the Anti-Mafia PM Giuseppe Lombardo to the Robot Sophia connecting fromHong Kong, from Claudio Marchisio to the journalist Andrea Scanzi, going through Gessica Notaro, the author of Breaking Italy Alessandro Masala, Paolo Crepet, Roy Paci, Lo Stato Sociale, Andrea Pennacchi, I Sansoni.

Mainstage and Training Rooms: the guests and speakers of WMF Online

Even for the online edition in June, the WMF integrates its training offer with the testimonies and inspirational talks of the Mainstage, which will host – in person in Rimini and remotely – international guests, artists, and personalities from the world of entertainment. Attention will be paid to current and future global challenges through topics of high social impact, moments of entertainment, shows, and music.

Among the guests of WMF Online is PM Giuseppe Lombardo, Deputy Prosecutor of the District Anti-Mafia Directorate of Reggio Calabria, who has been committed for years to the fight against the ‘ndrangheta, and who will speak about the mafia and criminal systems. Also on the Mainstage is the journalist Andrea Scanzi, who will talk about information and the role of journalism during the health emergency, the psychiatrist and sociologist Paolo Crepet and speakers representing the Italian Institute of Technology, of ESA (European Space Agency), INTEL and the MIT of Boston. Then space for David Vannozzi, CEO of Cineca, and architect Maurizio Carta, who will talk about urban innovation and the villages of the future.

Plenty of space also for the hottest topics of the moment: lawyer Francesco Paolo Micozzi will perform fact-checking and analyze the “Trump-Twitter” case, Riccardo Meggiato, cybersecurity expert, will speak on contact tracing, explaining the Immuni App, Luca Rossettini – Founder and CEO of D-Orbit – will talk about the very recent SpaceX launch, Mika Rantakokko on the spread of 6G technology, while Donato Speroni of ASviS will explain Agenda 2030 and the sustainable development goals on the occasion of World Environment Day on June 5.

Directly from Hong Kong, connecting live, will be Sophia, , the humanoid robot from Hanson Robotics, the most advanced in the world: her artificial intelligence software will allow her to answer a live interview and to dialogue like a real human being.

On the main stage also Claudio Marchisio – former footballer for Juventus and the National team, today an entrepreneur and collaborator for Corriere della Sera – and the actor Andrea Pennacchi, Alessandro Masala – author of the online show Breaking Italy – Gessica Notaro, Roy Paci,Lo Stato Sociale,Ubaldo Pantani,I Sansoni. 

Inside the over 30 training rooms, space is given to the talks by expert speakers and representatives of international brands such as Twitter, Mozilla, Oracle, IPSOS, Hewlett Packard Enterprise e Microsoft. Among the new rooms for this edition are ONP and Philanthropy, Video and Podcast, and Export and International Markets, the latter in collaboration with the Italian Chambers of Commerce abroad and with the participation of the secretaries-general of Malta, Croatia, Serbia, France, Vietnam, Australia, Canada, and Tunisia, which makes the WMF Online a Festival with an international scope.

Confirmed within the training program, furthermore, are the thematic rooms on E-Commerce (one of which is created by Shopify, the other by Search Marketing Connect), Content Marketing, SEO, Social Media Strategies, Digital Journalism, Brand, Artificial Intelligence. To these is added the Video Strategy room sponsored by Infinity and Mediaset, the Legal one sponsored by Polimeni-Legal, UX and Web Design in collaboration with Architecta and the event Aruba.
