Powered by a 1.8 GHz dual-core processor, the DS116 offers high performance with speeds exceeding 112 MB/s in write and 111 MB/s in read. Equipped with a dedicated hardware encryption engine, the DS116 ensures significantly improved performance during encrypted data transfer, with speeds of 112 MB/s in encrypted read and 93 MB/s in encrypted write – an increase of over 241% and 364% respectively compared to the previous model. Additionally, dual USB 3.0 ports provide fast data transmission for a wide range of external devices. Designed with a particular focus on energy saving, the DS116 consumes only 10.68 watts when accessing data and 6.28 watts in “disk hibernation” mode.
The DS116 operates on DiskStation Manager (DSM), the most advanced and intuitive operating system for NAS devices, offering a wide range of applications, from backup to multimedia, for home and personal use.
