The Synology DiskStation DS416play is a four-bay NAS server designed for consumer needs, featuring a 1.6 GHz dual-core processor with a burst speed of up to 2.48 GHz. It is a high-performance storage and application server built for home users and professionals to store entire libraries of content in one place.

DS416play supports a wider selection of file formats, making it easier for users to enjoy their favorite movies via Apple TV, DLNA devices, mobile devices, and computers.
Powered by a 1.6 GHz dual-core processor running at a burst speed of up to 2.48 GHz, DS416play achieves superior processing performance, with speeds of 225 MB/s in reading and 186 MB/s in writing with RAID 5 configuration in a Windows® environment. Dual Gigabit LAN provides failover support to ensure service continuity during unexpected LAN failure.
DS416play runs on DiskStation Manager (DSM), the most advanced and intuitive operating system for NAS devices, which offers a wealth of applications, from backup to multimedia tools for home and personal use.
