It’s called the Sony VAIO Series T15, and it’s the company’s new ultrabook that will arrive in Europe starting February 2013.
Sony has announced the start of commercialization for the Sony VAIO Series T15, its new ultrabook with compelling features.
This ultrabook stands out by featuring a Full HD touchscreen display and an optical drive. It’s a highly responsive and powerful 15.5-inch (39.5 cm diagonal) device, enclosed – like the entire unit – in a slim and elegant clamshell chassis made of magnesium and aluminum.
The keyboard, which includes a numeric keypad on the right, is backlit, making it suitable for comfortable extended work sessions.
The Sony VAIO Series T15 is equipped with USB 3.0, HDMI, VGA,
Ethernet, and an SD card reader. The operating system offered at purchase is Windows 8.
The hybrid hard drive is 500 GB + 24 SSD, which, according to Sony, ensures up to 6 hours of battery life with its good performance. Naturally, battery life should be considered in reference to the specific hardware and software configurations set.
The entire package weighs 2.34 kilograms, making it an excellent companion for working anywhere, even for long sessions.
The price of the VAIO Series T15 starts at approximately 900 euros.
