In a few weeks, the new compact camera Sony Cyber-shot RX1R will arrive in stores: here are its specifications.
A few days ago Sony unveiled a new camera, suitable- among other things – for taking good landscape shots.
It’s called the Sony Cyber-shot RX1R and its arrival in stores is expected in August 2013. It certainly won’t be one of those cameras that go mainstream, as it targets a specific niche: the luxury segment.
Its price is indeed quite high, especially considering it’s a compact camera, hovering around 3000 euros.
Perfect for capturing landscapes, it lacks an optical low-pass filter to avoid dispersion, eliminate the “blur” effect, and achieve greater detail clarity.
The technical specifications are not very different from the previous RX1 version, so we find a 24.3-megapixel full-frame sensor, a Carl Zeiss Sonnar T F2.0 35mm lens, and an ISO range from 100 to 25600, with the possibility to extend it both downwards (down to ISO 50) and upwards (equivalent to 102400 ISO).
The processor handling everything is a BIONZ, tireless even when recording Full HD movies up to 50p.
The new Sony Cyber-shot RX1R can already be pre-ordered on the official Sony website, although deliveries will start in August.
