The Pentax WG-3 underwater camera is perfect for all outdoor activities: here are its features and new color options.
The Pentax WG-3 camera is renewed, offering new color options to increasingly meet the aesthetic tastes of users.
In fact, the new model has just been presented in the shade “White Blue“, currently available only by order.
Regarding the technical specifications of the Pentax WG-3, nothing substantially changes from the presentation made last January 2013.
It is a camera with a 4X optical zoom and a backlit CMOS image sensor with an effective resolution of 16.0 megapixels.
The maximum sensitivity of ISO 6400 ensures sharpness in all conditions, even the most extreme ones.
Particularly noteworthy is a function that allows for consistently excellent results even in night exposure: it is called “Night Scene” and automatically captures four frames in sequence, which are then combined into a single final image that will be blur-free.
As a camera designed for outdoor activities, the Pentax WG-3 is particularly resistant. Its body is indeed very robust, capable of withstanding drops from up to 2 meters or significant temperature drops (down to -10 degrees Celsius).
Furthermore, as stated from the beginning, this camera is waterproof and designed to withstand and function at depths of up to 14 meters, for up to two consecutive hours.
The GPS module completes the overall equipment, allowing for automatic geolocation and geotagging of photos and videos.
Everything can be controlled via the large, high-resolution 3-inch color LCD monitor, with a 16:9 aspect ratio and approximately 460,000 dots.
