Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS45 was just introduced at CES 2012 and is therefore one of the new compact cameras from Panasonic coming to stores in the next few weeks.
Its sensor is 16 megapixels, paired with an F2.5 LEICA DC VARIO-SUMMARIT lens with an ultra wide-angle 24 mm that proves to be a good ally especially in low light situations.
The shutter indeed fires quickly, so the images are less blurry, compared for example to images captured under the same conditions but with an F2.8 lens.
A significant role is also played by the MEGA O.I.S. optical image stabilizer.
The lens also allows easy switching to recording HD 1,280 x 720 video in MP4 format, making use of the digital zoom, which is always very convenient.
The display on the back of the camera is a 3″ (7.5 cm) TFT LCD that maintains 100% field of view, allowing you to monitor the scene and simultaneously select the various functions offered by the camera, such as face recognition, iA (Intelligent Auto) mode, or AF Tracking, to keep moving subjects in focus.
The battery has a declared autonomy of about 260 shots and is included in the sales package, together with an AC adapter, a USB cable, a strap, and an informational CD-ROM.
At the moment, the price of the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS45 has not yet been officially announced by Panasonic.
