OnePlus X, patch for the latest update and camera fix

OnePlus X, the latest flagship phone from OnePlus, was recently updated to OxygenOS 2.2.0, but the update caused issues.

A number of users are reporting problems with photos on the phone after the update. However, the manufacturer released a hotfix for the OnePlus X camera last Friday.

“We are working to resolve the image issue that some of you are experiencing with the OnePlus camera after the latest update,” reads a company statement. After a series of apologies, the company assured a swift resolution to the problem.

It appears, however, that the update will not be rolled out to all smartphone users. Therefore, it may happen that residents in certain areas of the world may receive the fix update sooner or later than others.

Even after installing the update patch, weighing approximately 9.5 MB, the OnePlus X will still have OxygenOS version 2.2.0 installed.

Meanwhile, on the commercial front, for a few days now all enthusiasts residing in India can finally buy the phone without needing an invitation, a procedure that was adopted for a long time in Italy as well, when the first version of OnePlus made its debut. The initiative is part of the company’s intention to expand markets and not limit itself to covering certain areas only by invitation and, therefore, only with guaranteed sales. The hope, on the part of the Chinese company, is to exponentially increase smartphone sales.
