Nokia Symbian Belle is ready: new operating system launched

Something interesting is happening at Nokia: Symbian Belle has been presented, the new operating system that will accompany WP7 and Symbian Anna for some time.

Just a couple of days ago, we discussed the Symbian Anna update that will happen in mid-September in Italy as well. Today, we return to talking about Nokia – and operating systems again – because the company has announced the release of Symbian Belle.
This is a brand new version of the OS for Nokia smartphones that will not hinder the existence of Symbian Anna, nor the implementation of Windows Phone 7: Belle, in fact, will coexist with its “colleagues” at least until 2016.
It seems that this new version is in clear competition with Android and Apple, in terms of aesthetics and functionality: a wide range of customization for widgets and screens, more optional elements via screen, greater speed in displaying notifications and therefore also in navigation.
One feature above all speaks to how Nokia wanted to be versatile and immediate in the design of Belle: thanks to the technology called NFC, it will be enough to bring two smartphones close together and make them touch to transfer data from one to the other, easily sharing the address book, contacts, photos, videos, etc… Obviously, for this to happen, both smartphones involved in the transfer must be equipped with NFC. Similarly, you can use this system to challenge your friends in video game competitions, as is possible with the title Asphalt 5, pre-loaded on the Nokia 701.
The new operating system Symbian Belle is pre-installed on the new Nokia 600, Nokia 700, and Nokia 701, which will be released in the coming weeks.
Owners of Nokia N8, E6, E7, X7, C7, C6-01, and Oro will soon be able to choose to use Symbian Belle by updating their operating system. As of today, however, this option is not yet active, but it has been announced by Nokia itself, so it is a matter of days.
