The Nokia Asha 201 has a price that fully places it in the low-cost mobile phone category, yet with good quality features. Here’s an overview.
Following the conclusion of the Nokia World 2011 event, the Finnish company has launched two smartphones and a series of mobile phones with rather affordable prices. The Nokia Asha 201 can also be defined as a “low-cost mobile phone“, with a price expected to be around 60 euros. This is very little, both in a general sense and in relation to its features.
In fact, it is the twin of the Asha 200, with the difference being that while the latter is a dual SIM, the Asha 201 can house only one SIM at a time.
Perfect for a young audience eager for online sharing and plenty of music, the phone navigates via Nokia Browser and is equipped with a stereo FM radio, which can be listened to with earphones or through its speakers.
Specifically to support extensive music usage, the battery is designed to play up to 52 hours of songs via radio or MP3 files.
The keyboard is QWERTY, and the available colors are bold and bright: in addition to classic black and white, there are fuchsia and acid green.
Unlike all other smartphones and mobile phones presented these days, the Nokia Asha 201 will not arrive in stores in November – like all the others – but its release has been scheduled for the first quarter of 2012, meaning by March 2012 at the latest.
