The Motorola Defy+ impresses with its robustness and its ability to withstand impacts, water, and difficult conditions. Here’s an overview of its features and the price of the Motorola Defy+.
The Motorola Defy+ is Motorola’s embodiment of smartphone durability. This device stands out precisely for its robustness, being resistant to shocks, scratches, and even water immersion.
Much of this resilience is thanks to the Gorilla Glass display featured on the Motorola Defy+, supported by a 3.7-inch capacitive TFT screen with a 480×854 pixel resolution and 16 million colors.
Under the hood, it boasts a 1 GHz TI OMAP 3620 processor, runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread, features the MOTOBLUR UI interface with Live Widgets, and has 512 MB of RAM. Internal storage is 2 GB, expandable via microSD cards up to a maximum of 32 GB.
The camera is also noteworthy: a 5 Megapixel sensor with LED flash, image stabilization, autofocus, and geotagging. It captures photos at a resolution of 2592 x 1944 pixels and can also record videos.
An interesting feature is its use as a navigator, as the Motorola Defy+ is equipped with an A-GPS antenna and a digital compass.
Full connectivity is ensured by GPRS/EDGE/UMTS and HSPA, along with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, tethering, and hotspot capabilities, the latter being particularly useful for sharing.
Regarding the web browser, the Motorola Defy+ utilizes Android HTML Webkit with Adobe Flash 10 support.
Completing the package are the stereo FM Radio with RDS, a multimedia player, and, for music enthusiasts, the pre-loaded SoundHound application.
The battery life is also commendable, with a 1700 mAh Li-Po unit.
The recommended retail price for the Motorola Defy+ is 299 euros. Despite available offers, such as those found on Amazon, significant price reductions have not yet occurred.
