Users can type a brief image description in the Bing chat window or by clicking on the Image Creator icon within Microsoft Edge to get custom AI-generated images from OpenAI’s DALL-E. The feature is currently available to Bing and Microsoft Edge preview users.

In addition to image generation, Microsoft is rolling out Visual Stories and Knowledge Cards 2.0 to help Bing users with their visual searches. With Visual Stories, search results can include AI-generated video and audio clips. The Knowledge Card 2.0 update will include visual search results like AI-generated infographics.

What Does This Mean for Marketers?

It’s clear that AI has the potential to streamline and automate tasks for marketers. While it may not replace marketers, AI’s ability to automatically generate images and written content can save scaling teams a lot of time.

Furthermore, with companies like Microsoft integrating AI into search engines, the potential impacts that this will have on search-driven content are worth noting.

With search results generating elements like charts and graphs, creating content that includes new research, data, and insights will be crucial for marketers looking to drive traffic from search. As search engines continue to get smarter, marketers will be tasked with creating standout content that is distinctly different from the competition.
