Mediacom PhonePad Duo S531: Italy price of the phablet/remote control

Mediacom announces the release of the phablet Mediacom PhonePad Duo S531: here are the price and features of the device that can act as a remote control.

Aesthetically appealing, with a processor that promises great performance and a low cost price: what more could you ask for from a device?
These are the “commercial” features of the Mediacom PhonePad Duo S531, Mediacom’s new phablet ready for its release in Italy.
What’s striking is, first and foremost, the large screen: it’s a 5.3-inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, HD quality.
Everything around it is enclosed in a very pleasing aesthetic body offered in Gold and Grey colors.
As for the purely internal and technological equipment, the Mediacom PhonePad Duo S531 includes an Octa Core 1.4GHz – MT6592M processor with 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage.
The operating system is Android version 4.4 KitKat, however, an upgrade to Android 5.0 will be possible starting next July.
Regarding the camera features, there is a 5 Megapixel front camera, while the main one is 13 Megapixels, equipped with a three-LED flash.
4G connectivity is not provided and, finally, the battery is 2500 mAh.

The Mediacom PhonePad Duo S531 is certainly an interesting device not only for its competitive price but also for a particular function that is being widely discussed: the phablet also becomes a remote control. Thanks to the presence of an infrared port, it will be possible to use the phablet to turn on the TV, change channels, use the DVD player, decoder, and other home appliances.
Definitely a complete tool, very “living room” oriented; all at the price of the Mediacom PhonePad Duo S531 of 179 euros.
Availability in Italy in stores is expected during June 2015.
