Launching and promoting crowdfunding campaigns has become a rather common and well-known practice in our country as well.
However, one of the largest sites that allow operations of this kind had not yet started operating in our market until today. This is Kickstarter, a true giant in fundraising for specific projects of various kinds.
Today it was announced that the aforementioned platform is about to make its entry into Italy.
Up until now, Kickstarter was obviously accessible to Italian users as well, who, however, could only act as “backers”: that is, they could only send their contribution to support certain campaigns.
It was not possible, however, to launch a fundraising campaign from Italy.
The Kickstarter staff has therefore decided to open up to our country as well, supporting projects that will be presented in Italian so as to more easily reach different population target groups interested in specific initiatives.
Italian campaigns on Kickstarter will be included directly on the main portal: a separate site will not be created, but operations will take place within the “mother” platform.

Upon reaching the set goal, the funds will therefore be paid in local currency, i.e., in euros.
On the same day today, Kickstarter will open not only to Italian projects but also to those from other nations: inaugurations are also expected for Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, and Switzerland.
