HTC launches its first tablet: HTC Flyer, with recently announced price and features, has arrived in Italian stores. Two different versions of HTC Flyer are available; let’s look at the main specifications together.
HTC enters the field with its first tablet: after the successful HTC smartphone series, here comes HTC Flyer, arriving on the Italian market starting May 16th. There is much anticipation for this tablet, likely because HTC represents a reality that has managed to establish itself with highly appreciated devices, thus it could be the most favored and strong alternative to the iPad. It’s no coincidence that on FullPress we have already discussed HTC Flyer, right after its official presentation to the press; at that time, however, sales prices had not yet been released, so today we return to this tablet as further details are available.
HTC Flyer features a 7-inch touchscreen (1024Ă—600) and weighs just 420 grams, making it very light. Highly sensitive to touch, HTC Flyer can also interact with the user through a special pen called Magic Pen, useful in utilizing HTC Scribe technology, one of the features of the innovative HTC Sense interface combined with the Android operating system.
HTC Scribe allows for easy note-taking, drawing, and full utilization of the 3D screen.
Flash 10 viewing, as well as pages and content accessible via HTML 5, is possible.
HTC Flyer is equipped with two cameras: the front one is 1.3 megapixels, while the other, more precise and powerful, is 5 megapixels with autofocus.
Regarding the processor, it will feature a 1.5Ghz one.
Now, let’s come to the price of the HTC Flyer, which varies depending on the connectivity options chosen: there will indeed be multiple versions of the HTC tablet available.
For €499, you can purchase the HTC Flyer with Wi-Fi and 16 GB of memory; if you prefer the HTC Flyer with 3G plus Wi-Fi and 32 GB of memory, the price will be €649.
In either case, the Magic Pen will always be included in the package.
