HTC Butterfly S: a phablet is coming out

Officially presented by HTC is the new phablet HTC Butterfly S. While awaiting the release date in Europe, here are the technical specifications.

In recent days, alongside new smartphones, HTC has also taken the opportunity to present a phablet: its name is HTC Butterfly S.
As the name itself suggests, this is a further version – perfected and improved – of the HTC Butterfly, released a few months ago and appreciated by Asian users.
The commercialization plan for the HTC Butterfly S is not yet known, it is important to emphasize: it will definitely be launched on the Asian market, but at the moment HTC has not announced any potential release dates for the device in other parts of the world.
Meanwhile, it is possible to know the main features of the HTC Butterfly S, starting with the screen: this has not undergone any changes compared to the previous model and therefore it is a 5-inch Full HD, with a recorded density of 440ppi.
Regarding the processor, it is a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 at 1.9 GHz, with 2 GB of RAM available.
The natively available operating system is Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with Sense 5.0 interface and the internal memory is 16 GB, expandable via microSD card.

The rear UltraPixel camera is undoubtedly worth mentioning, characterized in particular by a 1/3″ BSI sensor with Optical Image Stabilization, f/2.0 aperture, HTC ImageChip and 2.0-micron pixels.
The front camera is instead 2.1 megapixels.
Autonomy should not be a problem, as the phablet has been equipped with a 3200 mAh battery.
The price of the HTC Butterfly S in Asia will be around the equivalent of approximately 560-570 euros.
