Discussions are underway for the Mozilla Foundation, with a view to creating the **Firefox tablet**. Many telecommunications companies are already interested.
More news regarding the mobile sector related to Mozilla Foundation: it seems, in fact, that work is underway on the upcoming release of a Firefox tablet.
According to some Asian sources, the first model actually already exists and could be presented in the coming days, even on June 3rd.
On that day, an appointment is scheduled to take stock of the latest news in Firefox smartphones and it is precisely for this reason that hypotheses are circulating about a presentation also of a tablet.
What is certain is that the new operating system Firefox OS will soon make its appearance on devices produced by the well-known company Foxconn: it is in these same factories that various devices are produced and assembled, among which Apple’s products stand out.
Certainly, the global project related to mobile that the Mozilla Foundation is proposing seems to interest telephone companies a lot, and the fact that – according to the latest indications available through the official Mozilla website – there are as many as 19 telecommunications companies that express the intention to develop plans including the commercialization of products with Firefox OS, including the Italian Telecom Italia, is evidence of this.
The interest is therefore alive, both from companies and from users themselves who – as is known – count on the strength of a very active and proactive community.
Furthermore, it should be specified that, despite the fact that these are devices with a proprietary operating system, users will always be able to draw from the very rich selection of applications available on the Google Play Store: the combination of Android apps and Firefox OS devices is assured, so right from the start of the user experience, thousands of already widely tested and widespread resources will be available.
Further confirmations are therefore expected at the event on June 3rd.
