Interesting news coming from the Facebook platform: the “Facebook Lite” application has been presented.
It is a greatly simplified version – so to speak – of the classic Facebook app, designed by the social network staff to facilitate the use of the platform in certain circumstances.
Facebook Lite was primarily created to support social networking in developing countries, where connections do not perform well.
However, Facebook can also be useful in other situations: when you are in an area with a weak signal for browsing or when you only have an old device available.
Facebook Lite weighs less than 1 MB (0.53 MB to be precise) and consumes very little data traffic, as the app requires the minimum amount of information normally exchanged between Facebook servers, the personal account, and the device itself.
Photos and various previews (from links to pages, etc.) are displayed in low resolution, making everything very light, fluid, and usable even in suboptimal browsing conditions.
At the time of writing, we learn that Facebook Lite has already been made available in Asia, Latin America, Africa, and Europe.

Furthermore, for now, the new app has only been released on the Play Store, therefore exclusively for devices running the Android operating system.
Few details have been released – basically because it is an intuitive and simple app, suitable for anyone – through Mark Zuckerberg’s official profile, which in this case has become the official source of information regarding this news.
