Purchases on eBay paid via PayPal will enjoy greater protection thanks to full insurance coverage in case of problems, such as items not received or not as described, or fraudulent payments.
News from eBay: buyers who choose PayPal will have the security of protection for the full value of their purchase, including shipping costs. Excluded from this coverage are only goods whose shipment is not traceable, for example those relevant to the eBay Motors and Real Estate categories.
It’s not just buyers who will benefit from these new features, as there’s also news for sellers: they too will be able to rely on coverage in case of losses from claims for fraudulent payments and items not received, regardless of their Power Seller status.
The previous protection program, on the other hand, insured refunds between 200 and 1000 euros. Now eBay, in sync with PayPal, extends the protection guarantee, making purchases, sales, and transactions much safer as they are fully refundable.
