Wireless access points now support both cloud-based and standalone modes – manage them however you want.
Companies facing difficulties in managing their network between cloud and local management will be able to administer everything more easily with NebulaFlexTM, the new feature presented by Zyxel on three traditional standalone Access Point models. NebulaFlexTM will allow them to be managed in two modes – cloud managed and standalone, providing companies with total flexibility for network deployment and reducing hardware and software costs.
The choice between cloud and local network – why not both?
The management of stand-alone access points is clear and simple, and perfectly suited for any limited-scale area where a few access points are sufficient to ensure WiFi coverage. Cloud-managed access points, on the other hand, make it easy to install, configure, and centrally manage a WiFi network from limited to large scale – anytime, anywhere. Simplicity, unlimited scalability, and feature-rich management are attracting companies to the cloud.
Offering the best of both worlds, Zyxel today provides a choice thanks to hybrid access that allows users to have the flexibility to switch from cloud-based network management to standalone mode, to best adapt to all network deployment needs. Users will be able to switch to the cloud whenever they see the benefit, without needing to replace the existing network or purchase additional controllers or software. For those who already owned Zyxel access points, to enable NebulaFlexTM on the devices, only a free firmware upgrade is necessary.
Take a leap forward with Zyxel Nebula
Developed for multi-site companies without the proper expertise or resources for network management, Zyxel Nebula is a 100% cloud-based network management solution that centrally and remotely manages all Nebula wired, wireless, and security devices from a single control panel – the Nebula Control Center (NCC).
At no additional cost, users who own a hybrid access point will have the opportunity to reap the benefits of Zyxel Nebula Cloud, including 24/7 access, wherever they are, to the Nebula dashboard, device/client monitoring, and event logs, and will benefit from other advantages. There is also the option to upgrade to the Nebula Professional Pack license for ‘enterprise-class’ features.
“We wanted to give everyone the opportunity to take advantage of the flexibility and scalability that cloud networking can offer businesses, making its management even simpler,” commented Crowley Wu, Senior AVP of Zyxel Networking Business Unit. “With NebulaFlexTM, companies will not have to worry about the costs of replacing their entire network infrastructure; NebulaFlexTM will allow them to improve their company structure and processes.
NebulaFlexTM is currently supported on Zyxel NWA1123-AC HD, NWA1123-AC PRO, and NWA1123-ACv2 wireless access points with firmware version 5.20 or higher. A limited offer for 3 months of Nebula Professional Pack license will be provided free of charge to users who register for NebulaCloud Management via NebulaFlexTM until April 30, 2018.
