Madai is the new method for buying items or holidays online at discounted prices and, above all, at decreasing prices, provided you answer a few questions. Here’s how Madai works.
Here comes Madai, the new way to make purchases at reduced prices: it is not the classic group buying mechanism or the sale of particularly advantageous offer coupons, as they are based on the quantity distributed.
Madai works very differently: companies interested in marketing products (of any kind, from hi-tech to holidays) place the dedicated Madai widget on the company’s official website.
Inside this particular window, you will see the offer of the moment, at the usual list price or at a price that is already attractive compared to the market value.
At this point, the user can decide to directly purchase the item or service as proposed by the widget; otherwise, they can try to get a lower price by deciding to answer some questions.
For each question, the price will drop. More answers, more discount therefore.
The operation is very simple, however, it is not guaranteed that the desired item (or service) will automatically be in your hands: if in the meantime another user decides that the price has become reasonable and proceeds with the purchase, the sale will be formally concluded in favor of someone else.
In fact, these are not sales of an unlimited number of items but of a few examples, sometimes even of a single piece.
It therefore requires speed, perception of the right price, and a good dose of luck: as Gianni Morandi would sing one in a thousand makes it.
In addition to the sale itself, the companies’ profit is quickly calculated: the answers to the proposed questions are worth gold.
In practice, these are real mini market researches in which users decide to participate voluntarily, in exchange for a (real) discount on the (potential) purchase of a good or service.
The data released is then acquired directly by the manufacturing companies and therefore is not used in any way by Madai: it simply passes through, without leaving a trace.
In short, by giving up part of your privacy and revealing your preferences, you might end up with a smartphone at a good price, a cosmetic treatment that would otherwise be more expensive, a long-dreamed-of vacation, and so on.
The guarantee of a convenient purchase for the user lies in the fact that the widget will only be placed on the official pages of the companies that wish to use the Madai system: third-party sites will not be involved, everything will happen directly between the company itself and the user.
The companies that are turning to Madai cover many product sectors, however, a section of Madai is also dedicated to non-profit organizations and entities: it is called Madai Aid.
Currently the project Madai, founded in London by a pool of Italian founders, has already been launched in Great Britain, Italy, France, South Africa, and Spain.
