The BlackBerry Torch 9860 is one of the newest smartphones from RIM: the price is in line with its features, which denote power and usability.
RIM has launched a mid-to-high-end smartphone, characterized by its full touchscreen and remarkable image rendering: colors are very sharp and vivid, and brightness is adequate.
The operating system chosen for the BlackBerry Torch 9860 is RIM BlackBerry OS 7, supported by a 1.2 GHz processor, 728 MB of RAM, and 4 GB of internal memory.
Powerful and spacious, it can be further expanded with up to 32 GB of external storage using a microSD card.
The display is a 3.7-inch LCD TFT capacitive touchscreen, but it also includes an optical trackpad.
We’ve focused on the imaging capabilities, so here are the optical features: the camera is 5 Megapixels with integrated LED flash and autofocus; the zoom is a 4x digital zoom, and it’s also possible to record videos in 720p.
It features a micro-USB 2.0 port, and regarding connectivity, we have Bluetooth 2.1 with HSP, HFP, OBEX, PBAP, DUN, A2D/AVRCP, SPP, SSP profiles, and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n.
The battery, in line with its extensive features, is also powerful: it’s a 1230 mAh removable/rechargeable lithium-ion battery.
