Acer is increasingly active in the tablet sector: the Iconia Tab A500 is one of its latest devices, characterized by its lightness, compact size, and considerable potential. Here’s an overview of its specifications and the price of the Acer Iconia Tab A500.
Acer Iconia Tab A500 is one of Acer’s most recent tablets, impressively balancing compact size with good performance. The device features a dual-core NVIDIA Tegra processor that pairs well with the NVIDIA GeForce GPU. This optimized graphics support ensures high-definition visuals, further enhanced by Flash 10.2 support on the 10.1-inch high-resolution multi-touch screen. While these features are evident during general use like browsing and social networking, they truly shine when running 3D games, delivering crisp images at high speeds. The tablet comes with Android 3.0 Honeycomb, with an update to Android 3.2 recently released. Equipped with 1 GB of RAM and either 16 GB or 32 GB of storage, it offers connectivity options including 3G, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. It boasts two cameras: a main 5-megapixel camera with LED flash and a secondary 2-megapixel camera. To enhance its functionality as a netbook alternative, Acer has introduced a line of dedicated accessories for the Iconia Tab A500:
- Docking Station: Features two viewing angles, acts as a charging station, and offers an external speaker connection.
- Wireless Bluetooth Keyboard
- Travel Adapter Set
- Protective case that doubles as a stand.
The price of the Acer Iconia Tab A500 has recently been reduced. It has dropped from an initial price of around 400 euros to the current 349 euros.
