Acer is ready to launch the Acer Aspire One 522, a new netbook that, in terms of price and features, presents itself as a worthy netbook for enjoying HD content.
Acer today announces the release of the Acer Aspire One 522, arriving in stores and online shops by the end of April 2011. The Acer Aspire One 522 is an Acer netbook designed with HD multimedia content in mind, making it more easily and quickly accessible thanks to the AMD Fusion Accelerated Processing Unit (AMD C-50 APU).
This means that watching movies, browsing the web, and enjoying music and videos will not experience slowdowns or interruptions; furthermore, the graphical display aspect – especially for high-definition content – has been particularly well-cared for, thanks to the integration of the AMD Radeon HD 6250 graphics card. The Acer Aspire One 522 specifications are as follows: RAM 1x1GB DDR3 / HDD 1 250GB.
Regarding the screen, the Acer Aspire One 522 features a 10.1” Acer CrystalBrite LED-backlit display (1280 x 720, WXGA). Within the screen bezel, an Acer CrystalEye webcam is integrated alongside a digital microphone.
The chassis is available in two colors: black (as shown in the photo attached to this article) and green. Regarding dimensions, they appear compact: 258.5 (W) x 185 (D) x 25.7 (H) mm, with a weight of
1.30 Kg for the model with a 6-cell battery, or 1.20 Kg with a 3-cell battery.
For connectivity, the Acer Aspire One 522 offers Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth, and LAN compatibility.
The recommended retail price for the Acer Aspire One 522 from Acer is 279 euros.
