The new episode of Tomb Raider is about to enter the market. This was announced by Square Enix, the Japanese company that also specified a presentation date: December 11.

Lara Croft returns to gamers’ homes worldwide with the new chapter in the Tomb Raider saga. Despite the less-than-stellar sales results of the previous two versions, Crystal Dynamics developers have decided to try again, starting with a new development: the new game will actually be a prequel to Tomb Raider. Lara Croft will indeed be a 21-year-old survivor of a shipwreck on a deserted island who will have to fight for her survival. The episode is therefore conceptually earlier – from a temporal point of view – compared to the other Tomb Raider episodes.
News also in the weapon loading system, which can be assembled and composed with “pieces” available from time to time; furthermore, aiming will be free, without spatial constraints.
Not much is yet known about the next release of Tomb Raider 4, not even the exact release date: it is only known that there will be a presentation of the product (still under development and refinement) in a few days, on December 11, on the pages of GameInformer, the magazine (from which we took the image accompanying this article) that was chosen to officially launch the news of Lara Croft’s return.
