FUJINON XF80mmF2.8 R LM OIS WR Macro is added to the lineup of interchangeable lensesX Series renowned for their extraordinary image quality. The lens offers a focal length equivalent to 122 mm (in 35mm format), a maximum aperture ofF2.8 and a magnification factor of1.0x. Thanks to its high resolution at the focus point and the extraordinary bokeh effect, this lens is ideal for nature photography and when used with the exclusive Velvia Film Simulation mode fromFujifilm, it delivers truly stunning close-up images.

FUJINON XF80mmF2.8 R LM OIS WR Macro is a mid-telephoto macro lens that guarantees the best results with Fujifilm’s exclusive X-TRANS CMOS sensor. With an optical construction consisting of 16 elements in 12 groups, including an aspherical lens, a Super ED lens, and three ED lenses, along with a Floating Focus System1, this lens is capable of achieving high-quality macro photographs even with non-close-up shots.

Thanks to the Optical Image Stabilizer system, which eliminates vibration movements, the lens supports handheld shooting. Equipped with linear motors, it also offers a fast and silentAutofocus (auto focus) system. The external design is elegant and robust; it conveys a great sense of quality. The aperture and focus rings have been designed to be pleasant and easy to use. The lens is resistant to weather and atmospheric agents and can operate at temperatures down to -10 °C, making it suitable for a wide range of outdoor shooting conditions. A fluorine coating applied to the front element of the lens repels water and dirt, further improving the lens’s resistance.

• High resolving power and fantastic bokeh effect

An optical structure consisting of 16 elements in 12 groups, including an aspherical lens, a Super ED lens, and three ED lenses, has been adopted. Chromatic aberrations are corrected by placing the ED lenses in a well-balanced position, and spherical aberrations are suppressed by the aspherical lens, ensuring high optical resolution.

• Extraordinary macro images thanks to the new AF system

The Floating Focus System divides the lens groups into a “Front Focus Group” and a “Rear Focus Group” and controls them with high precision depending on the shooting distance. This system ensures high resolution in macro shots, where aberrations can easily become visible.

A new “Ball Slide System” controls the movement of the lenses using ceramic balls along the guide rails. This system achieves high image quality, from the center to the edges, while maintaining maximum precision and eliminating any tilt of the two focus groups.

The focus groups move within the lens body, so its length does not change. Therefore, you don’t have to worry about accidentally touching the subject you are shooting.

• OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) eliminates “camera shake””

The lens adopts the OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) system to eliminate “camera shake” that can have a greater impact in macro photography. Angular and sliding “camera shake” is eliminated by using a high-precision gyroscope sensor and acceleration sensor, which allows images to be stabilized up to 5 stops (CIPA guidelines).

• Fast and silent AF

The focus lenses are driven by fast and silent linear motors, ensuring highly efficient autofocus in terms of speed and silence.

• Weather and dust resistant, operable at temperatures down to -10°C and equipped with a fluorine coating

The lens is sealed in 11 zones to resist weather and dust, allowing it to be used outdoors in all environmental conditions.

The fluorine coating applied to the front elements is water-repellent, less prone to smudges, and easy to clean.

• Compatible with Teleconverter 1.4x and 2.0x

The lens is compatible with the 1.4x Teleconverter (XF1.4X TC WR) and the 2.0x Teleconverter (XF2X TC WR), and can therefore be used as a macro telephoto lens.

With Teleconverter 1.4x: 112mmF4 (equivalent to 171mm focal length in 35mm format)

With Teleconverter 2.0x: 160mmF5.6 (equivalent to 244mm focal length in 35mm format)

For full compatibility with the AF system on this lens, the following X Series camera bodies require a firmware update, which is scheduled to be released in November 2017. Please refer to the Fujifilm website to check your firmware version and necessary updates.
