Getac presents the 4th generation fully rugged tableta generation F110, one of the company’s best-selling models. Designed to help professionals with onsite maintenance, it meets the needs of workplaces with extreme conditions. The F110 tablet combines Intel Kaby Lake processors and new multilayer security functions with a robust design, to create the most performant and secure fully rugged tablet on the market.

The camera

One of the most significant new features characterizing the latest generation F110 is undoubtedly the optional IR camera that supports facial recognition with Windows Hello, to simplify login and increase security. In combination with TPM 2.0 and Opal 2.0 SSD, both standard on the F110 tablet, they offer users an ultra-secure mobile solution, usable in any work environment.

“The F110 rugged tablet is the perfect combination of performance, format, weight, security, and robustness, which is why it continues to be one of Getac’s best-selling mobile devices,” says Rowina Lee, Vice President of Global Sales & Business Development Centre at Getac. “Our latest generation follows tradition, becoming even faster and more secure.”

The Intel processor

The best-in-class performance comes from Intel Kaby Lake Core i7 & i5 processors that provide optimal computing performance and more efficient energy usage. With Intel HD Graphics 620, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, and hot-swappable batteries, users can take advantage of maximum performance on the go. With the most suitable format for field productivity, the 11.6” LumiBond 2.0 sunlight-readable display offers a 10-point touch experience in a slim and lightweight form factor. Rain, Glove, and Pen (hard-tip stylus) touch modes provide the best sensitivity for virtually any environment, while the spacious screen has room for all the apps you want, without excessive scrolling.

Security

Today, companies are more vulnerable than ever to data theft and attacks, which is why Getac has designed the F110 to support numerous security functions integrated into Windows 10. TPM 2.0 monitors and protects system boots to ensure the device is tamper-free before handing over control to the operating system, and BitLocker protects data while unused, in use, and on the move. Advanced self-encrypting hardware-based technology SSD Opal 2.0 protects confidential data stored on the drive from unauthorized access. Multi-factor authentication options, including an IR camera, fingerprint reader, smart card reader, and dual-frequency RFID (LF/HF) reader, work with Microsoft Windows 10 identity protection features like Windows Hello, Microsoft Passport, and Credential Guard for enhanced security. In case of system loss or theft, the optional Absolute DDS will allow remote deactivation.

Optional camera

The optional infrared (IR) camera provides consistent images in various lighting conditions, which improves the accuracy and robustness of the facial recognition system. IR illumination allows the camera to capture additional information to determine if an object detected is a real person’s face or a photograph of an authorized user. Video conferencing and data capture functions are easy with a FullHD webcam, an 8MP autofocus camera, and a 1D/2D barcode reader.

Durable

Enduring is the adjective that describes Getac well, and the F110 proudly follows tradition. The rugged tablet is MIL-STD810G and IP65 certified to withstand drops up to 1.20m and rain, humidity, vibrations, shocks, and extreme temperatures, from -21°C to 60°C (operating temperatures) and -15°C to 71°C (storage temperatures). The F110 comes complete with a standard 3-year, no-questions-asked warranty Bumper-to-Bumper , the best offer from the industry, which includes accidental damage and exposure to adverse environmental conditions.

The F110 tablet can be installed in vehicles by choosing docking stations from Gamber-Johnson and Havis, which can offer simultaneous connection to high-gain WWAN, WLAN, and GPS antennas positioned on the roof. The optional GPS (with GLONASS option) provides high-performance localization.
