Apple, iOS 7.1 update available for download: compatibility and new features

The beta testing phase has ended and therefore Apple has officially released the iOS 7.1 operating system update.
. The download can already be carried out worldwide and not just in a few selected countries as sometimes happens with these innovations: Italian owners of Apple devices are therefore also proceeding with the update.
What to expect from iOS 7.1?
First of all, it should be noted that steps have been taken to fix the bug of sudden and unintended reboots of the devices.
A second notable feature – although its immediate effects may still be not very evident in daily life – is the activation of the CarPlay functionality: in this way, you can literally interact with your car’s multimedia system, through Siri of course.
More and more cars in the future will become “responsive” to smartphone and tablet operating systems, so Apple with this update provides a first version of an integrated system for automotive.
From the point of view of common use of Apple devices, some interface changes are reported: the buttons to accept or reject calls have been improved, as well as other buttons to select music and activate some specific features of the media and music player.
More generally, in the panel relating to the various telephone options, all buttons have had a slight restyling, to make them a bit rounder and more accessible.
