Less than 24 hours remain until the official launch in Italy of PlayStation 4, the new gaming console developed and unveiled by Sony.
The release—strategically timed for Black Friday and the start of the holiday sales season—will undoubtedly highlight the open competition that will commence with Sony’s first, and likely only, rival console: Microsoft’s Xbox One.
This latter console was actually released a few days ago, so a fairly direct comparison is expected between the sales performance of both gaming devices.
PlayStation 4 will have the advantage of its price, which is 100 euros lower than the Xbox One.
Speaking of prices, something curious has happened in recent hours: it has been noticed that the first games for PlayStation 4 have seen a price reduction on the PlayStation Store.
The reason appears quite evident: some titles—such as FIFA 14 and Battlefield 4—were initially offered at higher prices than their equivalent versions for Xbox One.

This is a detail that certainly did not go unnoticed by gamers, who observed differences of approximately 8 pounds per title.
Sony has therefore begun to “stabilize” these amounts, also promising further reductions on November 29th, following an initial “discount” of 3 pounds that was immediately applied.
For those who had already pre-ordered some of the games at the varied prices, the proposed solution is the refund of the overpaid amount, as credit available for future purchases.
