We are revisiting the Bip Mobile issue, although without any significant new information regarding the future of the virtual mobile operator.
However, it is worth noting the initiative by 3 Italia which, in seeking to provide assistance to Bip Mobile customers wishing to port their number, has announced its decision to recognize up to 100 euros in call credit.
It is well-known that Bip Mobile customers with remaining credit on their SIM (which has been effectively inactive since December 30, 2013) do not seem to have much hope of recovering these funds quickly.
This is also because, according to current regulations, when switching to another operator, it is the company being left that must disburse the sum, not the new company.
In this case, however, given the uncertain and stagnant situation, 3 Italia has decided to recognize this residual credit, up to a maximum of 100 euros.

The statement released by 3 Italia clearly specifies that this sum, exceptionally granted to customers coming from Bip Mobile, will not be convertible into cash in any way or for any reason; furthermore, it will not be transferable to another operator in the event of future moves to other telephony companies.
Finally, 3 Italia states that if Bip Mobile is unable to provide 3 Italia with the amount of residual credit on the Bip account, each case will be evaluated individually, and the potential new customer will be supported with new promotions or initiatives.
